SCOTUS Set To Decide On T-Mobile Cell Tower Case by Alan Hearty

Back in May, we highlighted a story where the United States Supreme Court agreed to hear T-Mobile’s case regarding how a city justifies its denial of a tower-setting permit. Well, the Court has heard the arguments and is set to announce its decision which would set a precedent for the future of tower development. A potential win for T-Mobile would require local authorities to provide specific reasons for a denial in a single document, rather than directing the applicant to its minutes or other sources of public record. This would obviously have significant implications for the telecom industry, helping streamline or at least simplify the tower development process.
